Young Scholars is privileged to have partnered with author Kevin Byrd and the Oneida County History Center to bring more families in Utica into the History Center. Byrd has generously donated proceeds of the History Center’s sale of the book Our Stories, Our Voices: Black Men Speak Their Truth, of which he is a co-author, to provide memberships to the History Center. Eight Young Scholars families have been designated to receive family memberships to the Oneida County History Center and will be welcomed by Center Executive Director Rebecca McLain with a tour of the Center.
