UpMobility supports the Young Scholars Alumni Society and the Graduate Leadership Development Program.
Common Affinity
Common Affinity’s mission is to create a platform that enables people with a common affinity to interact, network, and innovate to achieve greater goals together. They achieve this through our platform by allowing members to work together collectively as a whole, and in focused affinity groups.
Common Affinity has been building the Young Scholars Alumni Society platform for the use of Young Scholars LPP alumni.
Utica University
Located in the heart of Central New York, Utica University is a comprehensive, independent, private institution founded in 1946. Utica University offers many of the advantages of a large university, such as undergraduate and graduate degree options, excellent academic programs, and outstanding faculty, but with an intimacy and a high degree of personal attention more closely associated with smaller private colleges.
Young Scholars LPP is a program established by and operating through Utica University. Utica University provides admission to all successful Young Scholars graduates with the Advanced Regents Diploma as well as financial assistance for eligible students.
Utica City School District
Utica City School District strives to ensure that students attain the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to become productive members of society.
Young Scholars LPP works with students from Donovan Middle School, JFK Middle School, and Proctor High School from 7th to 12th grade.
Liberty Partnerships Program
The Liberty Partnerships Program partners with Institutions of Higher Education to align meaningful school and community partnerships that deliver research-based programming to students enrolled in public and non-public schools that are identified as having a high risk of students dropping out of school.
Young Scholars LPP is one of the 46 Liberty Partnerships Programs in New York State.
Center for Family Life and Recovery (CFLR)
Center for Family Life and Recovery supports individuals struggling with addiction, mental health and behavioral issues by inspiring hope, providing help, promoting wellness and transforming lives.
CFLR provides social workers for Young Scholars LPP.
City of Utica
Utica is located in the Mohawk Valley and is the seat of Oneida County.
The City of Utica provides direct support for Young Scholar student services.
The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties
The Community Foundation seeks to engage, invest and lead through grants to nonprofit organizations in the Mohawk Valley.
The Community Foundation provides financial support for Young Scholars LPP and the Young Scholars Alumni Society through grants, scholarships, and programs.

Keller Family Fund
A donor-advised fund created by a thoughtful couple which will support a variety of causes, particularly environmental issues and poverty.
Along with the Smith Family Foundation, The Keller Family Fund supports Young Scholars LPP health internship and wellness adventure initiatives.
M&T Bank / Partners Trust Bank Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation
Since 2007, The M&T Bank/Partners Trust Bank Charitable Fund support nonprofit organizations that make an impact locally.
Along with the Mele Family Fund, this fund supports Young Scholars STEAM programming and our annual summer program at Utica College.
Mele Family Fund of the Community Foundation
In 2009, a donor-advised fund was created by the Mele Family. The Mele Family will continue doing great work that supports and enriches the community through their grant recommendations, giving back to the community in a strategic and significant way.
Along with the M&T Bank / Partners Trust, this fund provides financial support for Young Scholars STEAM programming and our annual summer program at Utica College.
The Sammon Family Scholarship Fund
The Sammon Family Scholarship Fund is a new highly competitive scholarship for high school seniors interested in participating in a STEM program at a selective institution.
This fund supports Young Scholars scholarships to 4-year institutions for any Young Scholars alumni majoring in STEM.
Coolspeak
CoolSpeak is a youth engagement company that delivers unique speakers, programs, events, books and products designed to keep students inspired, parents involved, and teachers engaged.
CoolSpeak provides Young Scholars LPP with event keynote speakers.
First Source Federal Credit Union
Founded as the Utica Teachers Federal Credit Union, the First Source Federal Credit Union serves those who work, live, worship, or attend schools in Oneida and Herkimer Counties. First Source operates five branch locations and offers a full suite of deposit and loan products for both personal and business banking, with online and mobile solutions.
First Source Federal Credit Union sponsors the mentoring program as well as summer internships for current Young Scholars students
The Genesis Group
The Genesis Group is a civic organization that unites Business and Community Leaders working to advance regional economic, social and cultural interests.
The Genesis Group assists Young Scholars students with community networking by providing event programming and professional development opportunities for Young Scholars LPP.
The Indium Corporation & Macartney Family Foundation
The Indium Corporation & Macartney Family Foundation, a philanthropic 501(c)(3) organization, is focused on primary needs including food, shelter, healthcare, and education.
This organization has previously funded internships for Young Scholars.
Office of the Oneida County Executive
Oneida County Government is a leader in providing effective, efficient services to meet the needs of our people while also creating a growth-oriented business climate.
The Office of the Oneida County Executive funds internships with the Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Development Program.
Oneida County Tourism
Oneida County Tourisms helps visitors plan their getaway and find what they’re looking for in Utica, Rome, Sylvan Beach, throughout Oneida County and Central New York.
Oneida County Tourism assists Young Scholars LPP with event programming opportunities.
RD Advisory Group
RD Advisory Group serves as partners in success to help clients handle tough conversations, issues and situations to get their teams on the road to success and enjoy the ride.
RD Advisory Group serves as the educators for the Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Development Program.
Smith Family Foundation (formerly WJDJ Smith Foundation)
The Smith Family Foundation strives to support financial efforts that promote the education, health, and social service to our society.
Along with the Keller Family Fund, The Smith Family Foundation supports Young Scholars LPP health internship and wellness adventure initiatives.
The Women’s Fund of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc.
The Women’s Fund is a volunteer driven agency sustained solely by donor contributions and led by women who are committed to creating a movement to change the lives of women and girls in our area.
The Women’s Fund provides financial support for Young Scholars girls in the areas of leadership development and social-emotional wellbeing.
YWCA Mohawk Valley
YWCA Mohawk Valley is #OnAMission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
The YWCA and Young Scholars LPP work together on many programs, including AMEND Together, domestic violence prevention education, internships, and community service opportunities.
