Health Interns at CABVI!
This week we took our Health Internship students on a trip to the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI). CABVI is one of the most comprehensive agencies in the Nation for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and their mission is to assist people who are blind or visually impaired achieve their highest level of independence. Each day, their goal is to transform the lives of the blind or visually impaired.
Throughout this trip, our interns were given a tour of Central Industries as well as the new Vision Health and Wellness Center! The students were amazed to learn about the handful of the services the organization provides as well as the state-of-the-art equipment used for treatment.
We want to give a huge thank you to Kathy Beaver, Director of Rehabilitation at CABVI and Karen Romeo, Outreach & Services Promotion Coordinator at CABVI for providing our students with this wonderful experience!
