This annual tradition kicked off at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, where 34 Young Scholars 9th-grade students and staff toured the campus while learning about the college and the local history. In DC, they visited several national landmarks and museums, including:

  • The Einstein Memorial
  • The Vietnam Memorial
  • The Lincoln Memorial
  • The Korean War Memorial
  • The World War II Memorial
  • The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial
  • White House Visitor Center
  • The Holocaust Memorial Museum
  • The Capitol Building
  • The Museum of African American History & Culture
  • The Jefferson Memorial
  • The Botanical Gardens

This was a wonderful opportunity for Young Scholars to bond while visiting our nation’s capital. We’d like to give a special shout-out to the amazing bus driver, the knowledgeable folks at Franklin Marshall College, and our dedicated staff – thanks for giving these students a memorable experience!
