Tabo Bo named United Way of the Mohawk Valley’s “100 Heroes” for making a difference in the community
Tabo’s a hero! Young Scholars Class of 2018 Alumnus and current Utica University Senior, Tabo Bo, was recently named one of United Way of the Mohawk Valley’s “100 Heroes” for making a difference in the community. Tabo founded Nomadic Voices in spring 2020 as a way for local artists to connect and perform. The group’s open-mic events, held in downtown Utica and on Utica University’s campus, have grown steadily since.
“When Nomadic Voices started, I had a feeling that it would be something amazing one day, but the pace we are moving is very surprising,” says Bo. “We haven’t hit our two-year mark and yet it seems like we have made a pretty strong impact in the Utica community. To be recognized is truly an honor.”
We are so very proud of Tabo and all of his accomplishments!
